Harris is seeking an experienced BIM/CAD Drafter to produce detailed shop BIM/VDC models and drawings in Upper Marlboro, MD. You will create 3D piping, plumbing, and ductwork models compliant with codes and project documents, coordinating with other trades and ensuring quality deliverables.
The role requires 3+ years of trade apprenticeship with CAD/BIM training, 2+ years drafting in piping/plumbing, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Autodesk tools.
Job Description
Under direct supervision produce detailed constructible shop BIM/VDC models and drawings based on contract documents, design criteria and/or instructions. Shop drawings are to reflect the use of sensible and strategic practices to maximize productivity throughout all phases of the construction process. The process is typically executed in the following phases: Setup & Backgrounds, Initial Detailing, System Modeling, Coordination, and Final Detailing. Troubleshoot BIM Model queries.
