Job summary

ACCEL Schools' Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida seeks an ELA Instructional Coach to deliver content-specific coaching to teachers in grades 3–10 via online sessions. The role focuses on strengthening ELA instruction, analyzing data, and supporting teachers with digital learning tools.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education and at least five years in education, with proven expertise in English Language Arts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in education with demonstrated experience in English Language Arts instruction.
• Strong knowledge of ELA standards, curriculum, assessment, and research-based instructional practices.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting teachers preferred.
• Strong ability to analyze student achievement data and translate findings into instructional action.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using instructional technology, student data systems, and virtual learning platforms.
• Committed to continuous improvement, teacher development, and student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instructional coaching to ELA teachers in grades 3–10.
• Support teachers in planning and implementing rigorous, standards-aligned ELA instruction.
• Model effective instructional practices and provide actionable feedback to strengthen classroom instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop effective lessons, instructional strategies, and interventions based on student needs.
• Monitor instructional trends and student outcomes to identify areas for continued coaching and professional development.
• Collaborate with school leadership and instructional teams to support schoolwide academic goals and priorities.
