Job summary

A leading technology firm is looking for a qualified candidate to design, develop, implement, and maintain Data Center virtualization software solutions. The ideal candidate should possess an Active TS/SCI clearance, have significant experience in cloud environments, and hold VMware certifications. Responsibilities include monitoring software performance, evaluating emerging technologies, and documenting processes. Substantial experience and a relevant degree are mandatory. This position is contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization.
• Familiarity with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.
• Experience delivering data center virtualization solutions
• Experience in cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and maintain Data Center virtualization software solutions.
• Monitor virtualization software performance and resolve any issues.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of the data center’s layout and processes.
• Assess virtualization solutions to reduce complexity while maintaining cybersecurity.
• Identify enhancements and monitor performance of virtualization software.
• Monitor workload metrics and resource utilization of servers.
• Ensure data accessibility and security.
• Test and troubleshoot hardware and software to resolve root causes.
• Assess network and server architecture for improvements.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of virtualization software, hypervisors, interfaces, and layouts.
• Maintain documentation of data center layouts, systems and processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to obtain a Poly.

• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience; High School Diploma and 12 years of relevant experience).
• VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization

• Proven work experience providing Data Center virtualization software solutions.

• Experience working in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances.
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Data Center Virtualization Design

• Experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and colocation services.

• Analytical skills for cost-benefit analysis and IT strategy development.

• ITIL or other applicable professional certifications.

• Familiarity with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions and their integration into enterprise environments.

• Knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and Salesforce software.

Security Clearance

This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.
