Job summary

A leading technology firm is looking for a qualified candidate to design, develop, implement, and maintain Data Center virtualization software solutions. The ideal candidate should possess an Active TS/SCI clearance, have significant experience in cloud environments, and hold VMware certifications. Responsibilities include monitoring software performance, evaluating emerging technologies, and documenting processes. Substantial experience and a relevant degree are mandatory. This position is contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree.

• Familiarity with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.

Job description

Basic Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to obtain a Poly.

• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience; High School Diploma and 12 years of relevant experience).
• VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization

• Proven work experience providing Data Center virtualization software solutions.

• Experience working in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances.
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Data Center Virtualization Design

• Experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and colocation services.

• Analytical skills for cost-benefit analysis and IT strategy development.

• ITIL or other applicable professional certifications.

• Familiarity with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions and their integration into enterprise environments.

• Knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and Salesforce software.

Security Clearance

This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.

• Design, develop, implement and maintain Data Centers virtualization software solutions.

• Design and develop enterprise solutions across colocations, data centers, and cloud environments.

• Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies into the virtualization software solutions to enhance system performance and resource efficiency.

• Evaluate virtualization software solutions vigilantly to reduce systems complexity while maintaining robust cybersecurity measures.

• Monitor virtualization software performance and resolve any issues.

• Monitor tools that provide critical insights into workloads, depletion of resources, and peak loads of servers.

• Ensure data accessibility and security.

• Test and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for effective resolution that resolves root causes.

• Assess network and server architecture for efficiency, improvements, or upgrades.

• Create and maintain detailed documentation of the data centers virtualization software, hypervisors, interfaces, layout, system, and processes.
