Job summary

Clune Construction Company is seeking a Drone/LiDAR Specialist to capture, process, and model project data onsite in Virginia. You will perform UAV data capture, 3D laser scanning, and point-cloud processing to deliver actionable spatial data for project teams.

Responsibilities include creating Revit content from 2D drawings, ensuring FAA compliance, and producing 3D presentations for logistics and coordination. Candidates should have AS or equivalent and CAD/BIM familiarity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with photogrammetry, LiDAR, or reality-capture techniques.
• Experience or interest in videography for processing needs.
• Familiarity with CAD/BIM software and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform UAV data-capture operations to produce compliant imagery for project documentation.
• Perform 3D laser scanning to capture terrain, structures, and as-built data.
• Process and register point-cloud data for project applications.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver spatial data.
• Create models from point-cloud data to support visualization and design understanding.
• Create simple models from point-cloud data for internal workflows.
• Use DroneDeploy or similar platforms to produce deliverables from captured data.
• Create Revit model content from 2D drawings and point clouds.
• Apply FAA requirements and drone safety policies to operations.
• Create 3D presentation materials for logistics planning and communication.
• Perform QA/QC to verify data completeness and quality.
