Job summary

HITT Contracting seeks an on-site Virtual Construction BIM Coordinator & Engineer to lead project-embedded BIM coordination, working with field teams to integrate architectural, structural, and MEP models for installation. You will drive clash resolution and translate digital data into field-ready views and sequences.

You will manage federated models, support look-ahead planning, and mentor junior staff while contributing to continual VC process improvements on a dedicated project.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in commercial construction with BIM/VDC focus.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and Navisworks for coordination and clash detection.
• Experience coordinating with superintendents and trade partners on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM coordination efforts on site, aligned with sequencing and installation priorities.
• Develop, manage, and federate models integrating A/E/MEP scopes.
• Run clash detection and resolve issues to support field execution.
• Translate model information into installation views, sequences, and layouts.
• Support RFIs, field coordination questions, and design clarifications using model data.
• Execute reality capture workflows and compare scans to models for progress checks.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to VDC playbook improvements.

You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with Superintendents, Project Engineers, Project Managers, and trade partners—using BIM and model-based workflows to directly support installation, sequencing, and real-time problem solving in the field.Unlike traditional office-based VC roles, this position is intentionally field-forward. Your work will influence day-to-day construction decisions, support proactive issue resolution, and strengthen the connection between digital coordination and physical installation.Position OverviewServing as the project-embedded, on-site Virtual Construction lead, this role is fully integrated with field and site operations and dedicated to a single project.
