Job summary

Meriplex seeks a Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) to guide mid-size healthcare-focused organizations in leveraging information technology to achieve business objectives.

The ideal candidate will translate complex IT concepts into actionable strategies, manage IT budgets, develop strategic roadmaps, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead IT risk assessments while engaging with C-level executives and department heads to drive transformation in the Orthopedic industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 10+ years of IT consulting or CIO-level experience in the industry.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate tech investments into financial terms.
• Proven track record managing relationships with C-level executives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of client needs including applications, infrastructure, and workflows.
• Help clients develop IT budgets meeting compliance requirements.
• Create strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Provide strategic IT direction to improve resident care and staff workflows.
• Advise on regulatory requirements and support compliance through technology.
• Stay informed on industry trends and healthcare tech innovations.
• Conduct IT risk assessments focusing on PHI data and continuity.
• Lead Executive Business Review meetings with C-level and department heads.
