Job summary

Meriplex seeks a Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) to guide mid-size healthcare clients in leveraging IT to meet business objectives. The role reports to CIO and requires deep tech expertise, business acumen in Orthopedic verticals, and a proven advisory track record.

The vCIO will oversee client IT budgets, strategic roadmaps, regulatory compliance, risk management, and executive reviews with C-level leaders to drive transformation and improved care delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years in IT consulting or as a CIO in a healthcare/Orthopedic vertical.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate tech investments into financial terms.
• Proven track record of maintaining C-level relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain deep knowledge of the client’s needs including applications, infrastructure, and clinical and administrative workflows.
• Assist clients in developing, maintaining, and managing an IT budget that meets operational and compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain strategic technology roadmaps that address evolving needs and align with business objectives.
• Provide strategic direction to clients by leveraging technologies that enhance resident care and optimize workflows.
• Advise clients on regulatory requirements and support compliance efforts through technology solutions.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to address sector challenges.
• Conduct IT risk management assessments focusing on protecting EPHI data and continuity.
• Lead regular Executive Business Review meetings with C-level executives and department heads.
