Job summary

FinStrat Management, Inc. seeks a client-facing Chief Financial Officer to lead CFO engagements for SaaS clients and scale both FSM and client operations. You will shape growth strategies, drive financial policy, and ensure robust data, controls and reporting across engagements.

The role requires 10+ years of senior financial leadership in SaaS, with expertise in revenue recognition, planning and fundraising. Flexible work with strong client-facing leadership is offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of financial experience with CFO or VP Finance in a growing SaaS or software company.
• Solid understanding of software revenue recognition, SaaS metrics, and associated best practices.
• Experience leading fundraising efforts, ideally at a growth stage company.
• Experience implementing and optimizing processes, procedures, and infrastructure to enable scale and growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage FSM client engagements as a virtual Chief Financial Officer.
• Provide insight on growth strategy and financial implications of major business decisions.
• Implement controls, frameworks, policies and systems for timely, accurate data and budgeting, forecasting and closing.
• Analyze client financial results, profits, trends, costs and budget adherence.
• Present financial results with insights on variances, trends and key metrics.
• Lead execution of financial transactions including financing, acquisitions, facilities and partnerships.
• Manage cash and debt to maintain liquidity for growth.
• Collaborate with client CRO and sales on contracts and processes.
• Liaise between clients and their external counsel.
• Oversee stock option, commissions and benefits plans.
• Direct FSM staff on client engagements.
• Ensure deliverables meet FSM quality standards.
• Provide five-star client service.
