Job summary

FinStrat Management, Inc. is seeking a client-facing Chief Financial Officer to lead finance for FSM and client engagements.

This role focuses on scalable processes, strategic growth, and partnerships, with responsibility for financial planning, reporting, and governance across multiple SaaS client companies. You have 10+ years of financial leadership in SaaS, strong revenue recognition knowledge, fundraising experience, and a track record of building teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of financial experience with recent experience as CFO or VP of Finance at a growing SaaS or software company
• Solid understanding of software revenue recognition, SaaS metrics, and associated best practices
• Experience in leading fundraising efforts, ideally at a growth stage company
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and lead teams effectively

Responsibilities

• Manage FSM client engagements as a virtual Chief Financial Officer
• Provide insight and recommendations related to clients’ growth strategy and financial implications of major decisions
• Implement controls, frameworks, policies and systems for data across clients’ business and financial planning
• Analyze clients’ financial results for profits, trends, cost and budget compliance
• Present financial results with narrative on variances, trends, and key metrics
• Lead financial transactions including financing, acquisitions, and partnerships
• Manage cash utilization and debt to maintain liquidity for growth
• Collaborate with clients’ CRO and sales on contracts and processes
• Serve as liaison between clients and outside counsel
• Oversee stock option, commission and benefit plans
• Direct and support FSM staff on client engagements
• Ensure deliverables meet FSM quality standards
• Provide five-star client service

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA preferred
