Job summary

FinStrat Management, Inc. is seeking a client-facing Chief Financial Officer to guide the financial strategy for FSM and its clients. You will lead virtual CFO engagements, build scalable controls and processes, and collaborate with client CROs on contracts. The role requires 10+ years of SaaS finance leadership and a proven fundraising track record.

You will drive financial reporting, analytics, and strategic advisory to support growth for multiple software clients and FSM itself.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of financial experience with recent CFO/VP Finance role at a growing SaaS or software company.
• Solid understanding of software revenue recognition, SaaS metrics, and best practices.
• Experience leading fundraising efforts at growth-stage company.
• Experience implementing scalable processes and infrastructure to enable growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage FSM client engagements as a virtual Chief Financial Officer.
• Provide insight and recommendations related to clients’ growth strategy and financial implications of major decisions.
• Implement controls, frameworks, policies and systems for timely, accurate data, budgeting, forecasting and closing.
• Analyze clients’ financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and budgets.
• Present and provide insight on financial results with narrative on results, variances to plan, trends, and key metrics.
• Provide leadership in the execution of financial transactions, including financing, acquisitions, facilities, and partnerships.
• Collaborate with clients’ CRO and sales team on contracts and contract processes.
• Oversee clients’ stock option, commission, and benefit plans.
• Direct and support FSM staff assigned to client engagements.
• Ensure deliverables meet FSM’s quality standard and provide five-star client service.
