Job description

The Virtual Care Excellence Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and patient experience standards of the Dedicated Care Line Nursing Team’s clinical interactions. This involves live and recorded call monitoring, participating in calibration events, supporting Care Line RN staff through peer reviews and feedback, and identifying quality trends and process improvements to promote consistent clinical outcomes and a VIP experience for all callers.

We seek a Bilingual Candidate fluent in English and Spanish, with a nursing background.

The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday from 11AM-7PM or 12PM-8PM Eastern Standard Time.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Champion all clinical quality and patient experience initiatives
  • Streamline workflows and optimize outcomes for the virtual care team
  • Collaborate with management to develop policies based on quality data that ensure patient safety and consistent care
  • Participate in initiatives promoting value-based care, including clinical accuracy, patient satisfaction, and access
  • Use evidence-based practices and technology to improve virtual care quality
  • Support peers through call audits, feedback, and peer activities to achieve better outcomes
  • Advocate for patients’ needs throughout their virtual care journey
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and excellence
  • Contribute to a positive, innovative, and accountable work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Leadership and coaching abilities to improve quality outcomes
  • Training skills for clinical practices and patient communication
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

  • Multistate RN License (Nurse Licensure Compact) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or related field required
  • Fluency in Spanish required
  • At least three (3) years of clinical experience, preferably in Emergency, Triage, Primary, Urgent Care, or Geriatric populations
  • Leadership experience for at least 2 years highly preferred
  • Experience training nurses in clinical practices preferred
  • Quality improvement experience preferred
  • At least two (2) years of virtual care experience strongly preferred
