Qualifications

• Under general supervision of the E-Learning Administrator, a UCVirtual teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a blended learning environment for students.
• The teacher will routinely visit local high schools, providing guidance and encouragement, to assist students in the development and fulfillment of their academic goals.
• This position will also facilitate an online classroom environment that is conducive to learning, and appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver educational lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning by visiting high school distant learning labs on a rotating schedule.
• Develop course materials and content that utilizes the EmpowerED teaching framework.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and other appropriate activities in furtherance of curriculum goals
• Evaluate student progress and development to address individual needs
• Provide Supervision of students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment
