Peoples Bank is hiring a Virtual Banker to provide comprehensive relationship and portfolio management for a group of business clients through a predominantly virtual engagement model.

The role balances proactive portfolio administration — including loan and deposit oversight, renewals, and risk management — with sales responsibilities to expand existing relationships and deliver value-added financial solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years in business or commercial banking or lending.
• Demonstrated experience with loan renewals, portfolio management, deposit growth and client relationship oversight.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while collaborating with internal partners.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage an assigned portfolio of business customers, including loans, lines of credit, and deposits.
• Monitor portfolio performance via delinquency tracking and coordination with Credit Administration.
• Manage loan maturities with renewals, extensions and documentation.
• Facilitate loan modifications within approved credit guidelines.
• Oversee depository overdraft management for assigned accounts.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain borrower financial statements and tax returns.
• Generate incremental revenue by expanding client relationships and meeting sales goals.
• Cross-sell treasury, merchant services, insurance, investment, and retail referrals.
