Job summary

Magellan Federal is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to deliver comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families at military installations. Responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, briefings, and referrals, with outreach across the DoD lifecycle and deployment cycles.

Strong qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of financial counseling, U.S. citizenship, fluent English, and optional English/Spanish bilingual ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• If required by contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 2 investigation and pass OCI disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families at military installations.
• Develop spending plans and financial materials; conduct workshops and classes.
• Coordinate with installation leadership and POCs; provide referrals when appropriate.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes; participate in supervision and contract activities.
