The Virtual Sales Account Manager will build Univar Solutions business partnerships and grow the portfolio for existing customers. This role uses a consultative sales process to uncover and close new business opportunities to meet financial goals.

This position requires effective territory management and business planning to maximize sales within the assigned geography. All sales calls are conducted over the phone, WebEx, or video chat. This is an account executive level sales role requiring a driven self-starter attitude and the ability to work autonomously.

What you´ll do:
  • Improve and expand Univar Solutions' position within assigned accounts using a consultative and in-depth selling approach.
  • Establish and develop customer relationships by evaluating needs and opportunities.
  • Provide customer technical support and consultative services to increase value to the customer.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of products, services, and competitive activities.
  • Set pricing and service levels, and maintain customer quotations.
  • Provide information to local teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct calls via telephone, WebEx, MS Teams to achieve financial targets.
  • Develop and implement business plans to meet financial goals.
  • Document all account activity in the CRM system (Salesforce.com).
What you´ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of sales in a B2B environment.
  • Food or Pharma chemical ingredient experience is a plus.
  • Experience negotiating and closing large, complex opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (written, verbal, listening, presentation).

  • Home-based opportunity for candidates in NC, SC, OH, PA, VA, GA, TX, MA, MI, MN, MO.
