Job description

Inizio Engage has a long-standing partnership with a leading Biotechnology company, across Commercial, Patient Solutions, and Medical Affairs businesses. The Virtual Access Manager will provide access education to HCPs of insured patients who enroll in the program and have been prescribed one of our clients' brands. They will engage healthcare providers and their staff to communicate and educate on patient pharmacy benefit coverage, prior authorization processes, general payer policy criteria, and affordability programs supporting the initiation of the products. They will have a solid understanding of the local, regional, and national payer landscape. Exceptional customer and patient engagement skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think comprehensively are essential. The virtual Field Access Manager will report to a National Manager. Responsibilities
  • Engage healthcare providers and staff to educate on access to prescribed treatments, including addressing questions about initial access, insurance approval, and reauthorizations.
  • Educate HCP office staff on prior authorization and appeals processes, access to related forms, and submission procedures.
  • Proactively identify and resolve patient access and reimbursement issues within your geography.
  • Provide factual process information to HCPs using PHI with patient consent.
  • Serve as reimbursement expert for patient support services team.
  • Utilize approved resources and call guides to provide education and answer questions.
  • Conduct payer policy reviews and contribute insights to team and leadership.
  • Manage assigned accounts virtually and support ongoing needs.
  • Document call details accurately to ensure compliance.
  • Navigate CRM platform and internal processes daily.
  • Maintain confidentiality of PHI and comply with laws and policies.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and participate in required training.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Knowledge, Skillset, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of private/commercial payers and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Effective collaboration skills.
Requirements
  • BS/BA Degree
  • Proven success in a virtual environment
  • 3+ years in reimbursement, patient access, market access, or related fields
  • Experience engaging HCP staff and navigating payer reimbursement, especially Medicare Part D
  • Product launch experience preferred
  • Experience with specialty pharmacy networks
  • Patient-centric mindset with high emotional intelligence
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Organized with attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
