Inizio Engage has a long-standing partnership with a leading Biotechnology company across Commercial, Patient Solutions, and Medical Affairs businesses.

The Virtual Access Manager will provide access education to HCPs of insured patients enrolled in the program who have been prescribed one of our clients' brands. They will engage healthcare providers and their staff to communicate and educate on patient pharmacy benefit coverage, prior authorization processes, general payer policy criteria, and affordability programs supporting product initiation. They must have a solid understanding of the local, regional, and national payer landscape. Exceptional customer and patient engagement skills, attention to detail, and comprehensive thinking are essential. The Virtual Field Access Manager will report to a National Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Engage healthcare providers and staff to educate on access to prescribed treatments within the specialty pharmacy channel, including questions about initial access, insurance approval, and reauthorizations.
  • Educate HCP office staff about prior authorization and appeals processes, access to forms, and submission procedures.
  • Proactively identify and resolve patient access and reimbursement issues within assigned geography.
  • Provide accurate process information to HCPs using PHI with patient consent.
  • Serve as reimbursement expert for patient support services team for assigned areas.
  • Use approved resources and call guides to educate and answer questions.
  • Conduct payer policy reviews and contribute insights at various levels.
  • Manage assigned accounts virtually and coordinate support needs with FAM team.
  • Document call details accurately to ensure compliance.
  • Navigate CRM platform and internal processes daily.
  • Maintain confidentiality of PHI and comply with laws and policies.
  • Escalate issues appropriately to the Field Access Manager team.
  • Complete all required training and adhere to policies and laws.
Knowledge, Skillset, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of private/commercial payers and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with healthcare providers and staff.
  • Effective collaboration skills.
Requirements
  • BS/BA Degree
  • Proven success in a virtual environment
  • 3+ years relevant experience in reimbursement, patient access, market access, specialty pharmacy, or physician/system account management.
  • Experience engaging HCP staff on access pathways and product requirements.
  • Experience with payer reimbursement processes, preferably Medicare Part D.
  • Product launch experience preferred.
  • Experience with specialty products through pharmacy networks.
  • Patient-centric, service-oriented mindset with high emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal/written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
