Job summary

Hillsborough Community College seeks an Online Advisor to provide front-line student support on campus. You will conduct online advising for online students via Teams, assist with applications, registrations, course selection, and graduation requirements, and perform transcripts reviews and degree audits.

This role may require evening and weekend hours during peak registration and requires a Bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a Bachelor's Degree and at least two years of work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in higher education or student services is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial aid processes is a plus.
• Ability to provide online student support and services.

Responsibilities

• Provides online academic advising for online students via Microsoft Teams or other online technologies.
• Coordinates student outreach with the Online Learning Retention Coordinators.
• Evaluates and promotes college-wide initiatives for academic planning and degree progression.
• Evaluates transcripts and performs degree and graduation audits.
• Advises students on degrees offered and general college policies and procedures.
