Job summary

The Andino Laboratory at UCSF is seeking an Associate Professional Researcher to lead and contribute to independent and collaborative research projects focused on poliovirus and other enteroviruses, including viral replication, host–virus interactions, pathogenesis, and next‑generation live‑attenuated vaccines. The role also encompasses research on SARS‑CoV‑2 cell biology with proteomics‑based approaches.

The incumbent will apply advanced molecular biology, cell biology, virology, and proteomics

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent required.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).
• Willingness to learn and implement new methods as research priorities evolve.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong time management and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines.
