Job summary

Pace is seeking a laboratory scientist to support design and execution of in ovo viral propagation studies. The role involves hands-on virology work, embryo inoculation, and virus harvest, with strict adherence to BSL-2 practices.

This lab-based position offers opportunities to learn the full innovation cycle, contribute to vaccine development, and advance through collaboration with cross-functional teams in a dynamic R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 2–4 years of industry experience or Ph.D. in a related scientific discipline.
• Hands-on experience with in ovo techniques, embryonated egg inoculation, viral propagation, or vaccine development activities.
• Experience in infectious disease, virology, microbiology, or related fields including work with biohazardous organisms.
• BSL-2 laboratory environment knowledge and aseptic techniques.
• GMP/GLP method development experience and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Perform in ovo viral propagation experiments, including inoculation of embryonated eggs and virus harvest.
• Maintain precise pipetting, sample preparation, and handling of biological materials.
• Apply aseptic techniques during virus propagation and sample processing.
• Work with infectious agents following safety and regulatory guidelines (BSL-2).
• Document work in batch records and electronic notebooks; prepare technical reports and investigations.
