Chenega Corporation, through Chenega Services and Federal Solutions, is seeking a Molecular Virology Research Scientist to advance medical countermeasure research in high-containment facilities (BSL-2–4, ABSL-2–4). The role includes project design, animal studies, immunological assays, data analysis, and publication of findings.

The candidate will contribute to protocol development, prepare technical reports for sponsors, and help secure funding through grants and proposals.

Formación

• Ph.D. in Virology, Microbiology, Immunology, or related life sciences.
• Experience or capability to independently plan, execute, analyze, and report research.
• Knowledge of a relevant life sciences field.
• Experience with virology, infectious disease, biodefense, or related research.
• Experience with in vitro and/or in vivo studies.
• Ability to write scientific reports, publications, and summaries.

Responsabilidades

• Perform research to develop medical countermeasures for viral diseases in high-containment labs (BSL-2/3/4, ABSL-2/3/4).
• Design and oversee research projects; manage animal studies and data analysis; assist PI with reports and next studies.
• Prepare animal protocols for IACUC submission and approval.
• Perform immunological assays (ELISA, Western Blot, flow cytometry, PRNT, IHC).
• Prepare labs for inspections and participate in containment working groups as needed.
• Assist in funding proposals and grant preparation for opportunities.
• Prepare technical reports and manuscripts for publication; present findings at meetings.
