We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join the Division of Medical/Clinical Services at the Public Health Laboratory in Decatur, GA.
The Division of Microbiology at GPHL detects, identifies, and reports communicable diseases within Georgia, maintaining expertise in microbiology specialties such as Mycobacteriology, Enteric Bacteriology, Environmental Microbiology, Mycology, Parasitology, Virology, STD, Antimicrobial Resistance surveillance, and Advanced Molecular Detection.
We are looking for a certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform day-to-day testing in the Virology Unit, supporting STD, Flu Surveillance, Rabies Detection, and Molecular testing for Respiratory Viruses to aid public health investigations and surveillance. Responsibilities include:
Qualifications include an associate degree in a related science, certification as a Medical Technologist (MT ASCP), and at least three years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience at a lower level.
