We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join the Division of Medical-Clinical Services at the Public Health Laboratory in Decatur, GA.
The Division is responsible for detecting, identifying, and reporting communicable diseases within Georgia, maintaining expertise in microbiology specialties including Mycobacteriology, Enteric Bacteriology, Environmental Microbiology, Mycology, Parasitology, Virology, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Antimicrobial Resistance surveillance, and Advanced Molecular Detection.
GPHL seeks a certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform daily testing within the Virology Unit for STD, Flu Surveillance, Rabies Detection, and Molecular testing for Respiratory Viruses, supporting outbreak investigations and surveillance activities.
Associate degree in a related science, certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/ASCP), and three years of relevant experience, or equivalent qualifications as specified.
