Syneos Health in the United States seeks a Director, Epidemiology Pipeline (TA - Virology) to provide scientific oversight of virology programs, develop study designs, and support global business opportunities.

You will lead cross-functional teams, author research outputs, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with guidelines, while advancing RWLP and strategic initiatives across stages.

Qualifications

• Requires graduate degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, or Public Health; (Masters; Preferred Doctorate)
• Requires in-depth knowledge of and experience with a variety of study designs; familiarity with post-marketing and late phase study designs
• Requires basic knowledge of statistical programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, Python)
• Excellent communication, presentation, both written and spoken
• Strong personal communication and team-oriented skills
• Demonstrated leadership and technical skills

Responsibilities

• Provides scientific oversight of selected projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality meet expectations.
• Leads development of study documents (protocols, CRFs, SAPs) and supports publication activities.
• Collaborates with RWLP management to develop proposals and bid defenses.
• Develops trainings on epidemiologic designs and guidelines for RWLP/Company.
• Interacts with sponsors and investigators to foster relationships.
• Helps develop abstracts and authorship for publications.
