Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; MS preferred.
• Virginia PE license required.
• 11+ years of progressive transportation engineering experience, focusing on VDOT roadway and interstate projects.
• Demonstrated Design-Build project management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of VDOT standards, procedures, and digital delivery requirements.
• DBIA certification or willingness to obtain.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and deliver high-quality transportation solutions.
• Strong communication, client relationship management, and business development skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager and Technical Lead on VDOT transportation design and interstate corridor projects across Virginia.
• Support Design-Build pursuits and project delivery, coordinating with contractor partners.
• Lead, grow, and support VDOT transportation contracts and strategic pursuits.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide technical leadership in highway design, geometry, grading, drainage, and VDOT standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including VDOT, municipalities, contractors, and private-sector clients.
• Support business development and pursuit strategy to grow the practice.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, quality control, and client communication.
