United Future is seeking an Attorney to join its Virginia Beach team. The role focuses on legal recoveries and creditors' rights with no billable hour requirements, allowing attorneys to prioritize case outcomes.

The firm offers training and support to expand into collections or creditors' rights litigation while enabling you to manage your own caseload alongside an experienced team. Responsibilities include handling litigation from start to finish, drafting pleadings, and negotiating

Qualifications

Active Virginia law license.
Strong civil litigation and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage high-volume caseloads with deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Experience drafting pleadings and discovery.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal tech.

Responsibilities

Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
2/3 days on-site, primarily signing.
Negotiate settlements and work toward efficient resolution of disputed matters.
Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances throughout your assigned territory (travel expenses reimbursed).
Partner with internal staff, clients, and opposing counsel to move cases forward effectively and professionally.
Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines across multiple matters.
