Job summary

Stand Together is seeking a Regional Field Manager to lead the Virginia Beach area’s grassroots cycle, recruit volunteers, train canvassers, and represent AFP locally. You will oversee contractors, manage budgets, and build coalitions with community leaders to expand AFP’s footprint across Virginia.

The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship skills, and willingness to travel. Labor relations and compliance knowledge are valued as you grow AFP’s footprint in new Virginia

Qualifications

• Experience in field organizing, campaigns, or nonprofit advocacy.
• Ability to recruit, train, and grow volunteers and build coalitions.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and grow a base of active volunteers.
• Build relationships with community leaders and advocacy groups.
• Supervise part-time canvassing contractors and coordinators.
• Represent AFP publicly and communicate policy positions.
• Manage regional operations including budget and compliance.
• Design and run outreach and coalition-building activities in Virginia communities.
