Job summary

Unknown Law Firm in Virginia Beach is seeking an Attorney to join its growing Virginia Beach team. The firm handles legal recoveries and creditors' rights for financial institutions across states, with no billable hour requirements and a base salary plus potential settlements.

The role offers independence to manage your own caseload with support from an experienced legal and admin team. On-site work is required 2–3 days per week, with travel as needed and reimbursement of expenses.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia law license required.
• Proven ability to analyze cases and negotiate settlements.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation practices and courtroom procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other documents.
• 2/3 days on-site, primarily signing.
• Negotiate settlements and push for efficient resolutions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances; travel expenses reimbursed.
• Collaborate with internal staff, clients, and opposing counsel to move cases forward.
• Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines across matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.

• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances throughout your assigned territory (travel expenses reimbursed).

Qualifications
