Direct Travel seeks a VIP Corporate Travel Advisor to deliver high-touch, cost-effective travel for executive clients using Amadeus and Direct Travel contracts.

You will handle domestic and international itineraries, ensure policy compliance, and provide concierge service across air, hotel, transport, and meetings, with 10+ years in travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience providing domestic and international travel arrangements.
• 5+ years of VIP experience supporting executive travel.
• Thorough knowledge of airline ticketing rules and regulations.
• Experience creating domestic and international multi-segment, multi-destination itineraries.
• Proficient in producing lowest logical airfare within client’s policy.
• Understanding international airfares and international ticketing.
• Proficient in Internet searches and online booking processes.
• Knowledge of exchanging, reissue of tickets.
• Ability to follow client travel policies and guidelines.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Completes domestic and international travel arrangements for VIP clients including air, hotel, ground transportation, and rail.
• Provides high-touch concierge service to VIP clients, including upgrades and reconfirmations.
• Uses sources to stay informed of international events.
• Manages multi-cultural VIP clientele and advises on travel requirements (visas, passports, immunizations).
• Supports one or more accounts and provides first-level support for service issues.
• Ensures compliance with client travel policy and DT preferred vendors.
• Adheres to company standards for service, etiquette, procedures, and attendance.
• Attends training meetings and may work in the office when needed.
• Maintains positive working relationships within the company.

Overview

As a key member of the Operations Team, the VIP Corporate Travel Advisor will be responsible for the successful completion of comprehensive, accurate, cost-effective travel arrangements for Direct Travel clients and their executive travelers within company policies utilizing corporate contracts and preferred suppliers in an efficient and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Completes domestic and international travel arrangements for VIP clients which may include air, hotel, ground transportation, and rail
• Provides high touch concierge level service to designated VIP clients, which may include leisure and personal services, upgrades, reconfirmation of accommodations prior to travel
• Uses available sources such as State Department websites, news agencies to stay informed of current international events
• Handles multi-cultural VIP clientele
• Advises clients of international travel requirements such as visas, passports, immunizations, etc.
• Supports one or more accounts
• Interacts with VIP travelers, travel arrangers, travel managers and provides 1st level of support for customer service and technical issues
• Ensures compliance of a client’s travel policy while utilizing DT preferred vendors
• Adheres to DT standards in delivering customer service including phone and email etiquette, and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedure
• Follows company standards regarding procedures, utilization of tools, productivity, accuracy of work, and attendance
• Attends staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in travel industry and office procedures which may require you to work in the office if home based
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working environment

• High proficiency using Amadeus

• Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of airline ticketing rules and regulations
• Proficient in producing lowest logical airfare within client’s policy
• Understands international airfares and international ticketing
• Proficient in Internet searches and online booking processes
• Thorough working knowledge of exchanging, reissue of tickets
• Must be able to thoroughly read, understand and follow client travel policies and guidelines
• Excellent communication skills via email and phone
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to meet and exceed required performance standards
