Job summary

Westmont Hospitality Group is seeking a housekeeping inspector to maintain high cleanliness standards across guest rooms and public areas. The role includes inspecting VIP rooms and corridors, coordinating with housekeeping staff and maintenance, and ensuring timely completion of tasks within shifts.

The position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with staff and guests. Weekend and holiday availability is expected to support 24/7 hotel operations.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred.
• Minimum six months inspector experience or one year of comparable housekeeping experience.
• Ability to read and write English to complete forms such as a room status report.
• Ability to provide clear direction to subordinates.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to exercise judgment over subordinates.
• Talk to many different kinds of people to give information and answer questions.
• High School Diploma: college degree in Hospitality and Hotel Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect VIP rooms, guest rooms and corridors for cleanliness and appearance.
• Prepare work orders for shampooers to clean carpets and supply room attendants to maintain par stock in closet.
• Ensure all jobs are completed within the shift.
• Report maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors via work orders.
• Expedite special guest requests, such as extra towels, blankets or pillows.
• Open and Close Housekeeping Department.
• Turns in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
