Hyat Pittsburgh hotel is seeking a Housekeeping Inspector to ensure VIP and guest rooms, as well as corridors, meet high cleanliness standards. The role involves coordinating with maintenance for deficiencies and expediting guest requests.

The position requires weekend and holiday work, plus a high school diploma or hospitality-related education. Readers must be able to communicate clearly and organize tasks efficiently to maintain par stock and safety.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred.
• Ability to read and write English in order to complete forms such as a room status report.
• Ability to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to subordinates.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to exercise judgment and implement control over the performance of subordinates.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect VIP rooms, guest rooms and corridors for cleanliness and appearance.
• Prepare work orders for shampooers to clean carpets and supply room attendants to maintain par stock.
• Ensure all jobs are completed within the shift.
• Report all maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors via work orders.
• Expedite special guest requests, such as extra towels, blankets or pillows.
• Open and Close Housekeeping Department.
• Turns in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
