Job summary

Pelican Products in Detroit, MI is seeking an Assembler I to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on assembling Vacuum Insulated Panels (VIP), packing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records within a collaborative warehouse setting.

You will work with standard work instructions, support production operations, and ensure quality compliance under ISO guidelines. Prior warehouse exposure and basic equipment operation are beneficial for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents related to the job.
• Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems.
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manually assembles and builds Vacuum Insulated Panels (VIP) according to written or visual work instructions.
• Packs products into shipping cartons and labels for shipping.
• Uses inventory systems to locate and record orders and inventory information.
• Performs warehouse duties including material movement and storage.
• Operates material handling equipment safely (2-wheeler, lift truck, pallet jack).
• Follows quality policy and ISO procedures for each job.
