Job summary

Pelican Products, Inc. is hiring an Injection Molding Assembler I in South Deerfield, MA. You will assemble, inspect, and pack protective cases using hand and power tools, following SOPs and ensuring quality.

The role requires physical stamina to stand through shifts and fit into a safety-first culture, with rotating tasks across the line. The position offers a manufacturing environment, opportunities to learn cross-training, and a schedule of Sunday through Thursday from 10:00am to 6:15am EST.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling small to large cases using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs and verbal instructions.
• Comfort with inspecting parts during manufacturing and identifying defects.
• Must be able to stand for long shifts and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts according to SOPs and document information.
• Inspect parts during manufacturing for quality and identify defects.
• Pack finished products with correct labels for traceability.
• Re-inspect, re-work, sort, and clean plastic parts as needed.
• Rotate through assembly line tasks and operate fixtures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and return tools after shift.
• Work schedule: Sunday - Thursday - 10:00am - 6:15am EST.

What You'll Do

The Assembleruses a variety of hand tools, fixtures, and work instruction to accurately assemble, inspect and pack small, medium, and large injection molded protective cases.

• Assembles parts according to verbal and SOP work instructions and documents required information.
• Performs visual and in-process inspections of parts during the manufacturing process to ensure quality requirements are met; able to determine acceptable and unacceptable parts.
• Packs completed product into boxes with customized labels to ensure identification and traceability to customer requirements.
• Performs re-inspection, re-work, sorting and cleaning of plastic parts, as requested.
• Rotates through different tasks on the assembly line.
• Operates auxiliary equipment such as drilling fixtures and pin installation fixtures.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Returns all equipment to storage designated area upon work completion.
• Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday - 10:00am - 6:15am EST

• Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tool
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for an entire shift and have manual dexterity
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and follow manufacturing procedures
• Ability to work with a safety-first culture and adhere to all safety requirements at all times
