Job summary

Pelican Products Inc. is seeking an Assembler II in Torrance, CA. You will assemble, inspect, and pack protective cases using hand tools and fixtures, rotating through multiple stations to build diverse products.

You’ll document information, ensure quality, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. The role emphasizes following SOPs, performing inspections, and labeling for traceability. The team values craftsmanship, reliability, and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in operating 90% of manufacturing cases workstations as per training records.
• Must rotate throughout Manufacturing Cases and Component Molding.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Thorough understanding of large and small press operations, part numbers, names and colors.

Responsibilities

• Assembles parts and drills holes according to verbal and SOP work instructions and documents required information.
• Performs visual and in-process inspections of parts to ensure quality requirements are met; determines acceptable vs. unacceptable parts.
• Packs completed product into boxes with labels to ensure identification and traceability to customer requirements.
• Performs re-inspection, re-work, sorting and cleaning of plastic parts as requested.
• Rotates through different tasks on the assembly line.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Tracks Production Balance Sheets to prevent over runs.
• Operates drilling fixtures and pin installation fixtures.
• Stops material blender and closes water circulation in the mold; returns equipment to storage area.
