Job summary

Greenpoint Technologies is seeking a Senior avionics technician to install, modify, maintain, load software, and troubleshoot VIP aircraft. You will mentor less experienced avionic technicians and uphold safety and quality standards.

You will interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and engineering orders, perform wiring fabrication, test, and troubleshoot issues on complex avionics systems across platforms, while documenting work and ensuring timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 5-7 avionics experience preferred.
• Familiar with the Standard Wiring Practices Manual.
• Airframe (A) or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License preferred.
• B1, B1.1, and/or B2 certification is a plus.
• Must meet DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Possesses advanced knowledge of avionics installation, modification, maintenance, and system integration across all aircraft systems and assigned work scope.
• Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wire diagrams, system schematics, drawings, and engineering orders from clients and Greenpoint.
• Modify, repair, or perform routine aircraft maintenance in specialized avionics areas.
• Utilize avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations.
• Document work daily in standard format; prepare routine reports and correspondence.
• Fabricate wire bundles and assemblies per drawings; terminate wires into contacts/connectors.
• Troubleshoot issues, replace/repair parts, test and adjust as needed.
• Operate ground support equipment (GPUs, Hi-Reach) and test equipment (Pitot Cart, navigation test sets).
• Assist with general clean-up and clock to jobs; maintain attendance and professional conduct.
