Job summary

Bach To Rock McKinney seeks a passionate violin instructor to teach private lessons at our music school and potentially other instruments. The role supports satellite programs at partner schools and daycares, with travel to locations as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching children, excellent communication, and reliability, with a willingness to grow the program across schools and community partners. In-person, part-time opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in violin instruction.
• Experience teaching children.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to teach multiple instruments (preferred).
• Music degree or equivalent training (preferred).
• Experience teaching group classes (preferred).
• Experience working in schools, preschools, or daycare (preferred).
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Background check eligibility (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging and effective music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
• Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
• Develop lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Track student progress and communicate with parents when appropriate.
• Represent the music school professionally at all teaching locations.
• Travel to partner schools, daycares, and other satellite program locations as assigned.
• Participate in recitals, performances, and school events.
