Bach to Rock: America’s Music School is seeking a part-time Violin/Strings Teacher in Fishers, Indiana. You will provide private and semi-private lessons using the B2R curriculum, fostering a fun, focused learning environment and guiding students toward ensembles and performances.

Teaching relies on your ability to connect with students of varying ages and skill levels, with time management and organization essential to keep lessons productive and engaging.

Qualifications

• Ability to relate well to children and adults.
• Solid understanding of basic music theory and technique relevant to primary instrument.
• Enjoy teaching music to many different skill levels and ages.
• Experience as a performer.
• Effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task in a lesson.

Responsibilities

• Teach private and semi-private lessons using Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements.
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere.
• Assess a student’s readiness to join a band or ensemble.
• Assist at school events.
