Job summary

The Music Settlement in Cleveland, OH is seeking a dedicated violin instructor to join as a part-time faculty member. Teach individual and Suzuki group classes with evening availability, about 10–20 hours weekly, starting August 31, 2026.

Bachelor’s in music required; 1+ year teaching experience preferred; Suzuki Book 3 training preferred with potential for additional training. Competitive hourly pay with group rates available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music or related field required.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience required; community music school experience preferred.
• Registered Suzuki training through Book 3 preferred; willingness to pursue additional training with financial assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality violin instruction to students of all ages and levels.
• Adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
• Communicate with students, parents/guardians, staff and colleagues.
• Participate in faculty meetings, student recitals, and community activities.
• Maintain attendance records and scheduling/billing procedures.
