Qualifications

• Suzuki violin teacher training strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct private and group violin lessons and classes.
• Assess students and plan resources for lessons.
• Select repertoire for lessons and assessments/exams.
• Adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
• Provide engaging activities to develop musical and technical skills.
• Set goals and track student progress.
• Complete written feedback reports and assessments.
• Encourage performances in weekly and studio recitals.
• Organise annual studio or inter-studio recitals.
• Communicate with parents and staff and network contacts.
• Attend faculty meetings and collaborate with colleagues.
• Incorporate technology where appropriate and stay updated on pedagogy.
