Job summary

Saheli is seeking a part-time Prevention Specialist to develop and deliver community-based prevention and education initiatives. You will promote healthy relationships, gender equity, and violence prevention in collaboration with schools, healthcare providers, and faith-based organizations.

The role emphasizes partnership building, event coordination, and data collection for program evaluation, with opportunities to engage volunteers and coordinate campaigns across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Human Services, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field required.
• Knowledge of Canva, Adobe, Instagram, TikTok and other multimedia platforms to run or develop prevention programs.
• Experience with grant-funded prevention programs.
• Familiarity with Massachusetts domestic violence resources and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate culturally responsive educational workshops on healthy relationships, domestic violence prevention, consent and boundaries, and sexual violence prevention.
• Build and maintain partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, community organizations, corporations, and faith-based institutions.
• Represent Saheli at community events, resource fairs, conferences, and outreach activities; recruit and engage community members, youth, and volunteers.
• Coordinate awareness events during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, and other observances; create prevention campaigns across print, digital, and social media.
