Job summary

The Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track viola position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. Qualifications

• Extensive performing and teaching experience at the very highest levels of the profession.
• Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent training required, advanced degrees preferred; comparable professional experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Teach viola students in all degree and diploma programs, including freshmen through doctoral levels.
• Participation in departmental meetings, recruitment activities and auditions, doctoral committees, and recital hearing committees, along with other department activities such as faculty recitals and outreach activities, master classes, service on Jacobs School of Music committees.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent training
