Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and laminate vinyl or other materials to specified sizes for sign faces.
• Perform vinyl application using wet and dry techniques on various materials.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as vinyl rollers, laminators, plotters, and digital printers.
• Ensure signs are properly labeled with the correct job numbers and manage blueprints/travelers.
• Follow safety guidelines and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.

Vinyl Technician# Vinyl TechnicianHeadquarters - Nampa, ID 83687## OverviewPosition TypeFull Time## Description**Essential Job Duties:*** Measure, cut, and laminate vinyl or other materials to specified sizes for sign faces.* Perform vinyl application using both wet and dry techniques on various materials.* Operate and maintain equipment such as vinyl rollers, laminators, plotters, and digital printers.* Ensure signs are properly labeled with the correct job numbers.* Follow safety guidelines and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.* Report any accidents or safety hazards to the supervisor.* Assist in troubleshooting and improving shop processes.* Operate plotters using computer software and manage job travelers/blueprints as needed.* Maintain regular attendance and assist with shop cleanup, including emptying trash and recycling bins.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support other departments as needed.* Assist in managing inventory levels and maintaining equipment.* Any other duties as required.## Qualifications**Qualifications and Training:*** High School Diploma or GED is required.* Previous experience operating hand tools and basic machinery is preferred.* Fluent in English.**Skills and Abilities:*** Ability to read and interpret a tape measure, scale ruler, and blueprints.* Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.* Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.* Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing ladders, and crawling on knees.* Basic math skills, including working with fractions and calculating square footage.* Knowledge of sign fabrication materials and processes is preferred.* Willingness to learn and apply Lean Manufacturing concepts.**Working Conditions:*** You will be required to wear safety glasses at all times and often cut resistant gloves.* Work may involve repetitive motions and lifting up to 50 pounds.* Physical tasks include bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, and crawling.* The work environment may include exposure to temperature fluctuations, noise, and humidity.* Hearing protection may be required in certain areas.* The position may require standing or walking for extended periods of time.
