Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and laminate vinyl or other materials to specified sizes for sign faces.
• Perform vinyl application using wet and dry techniques on various materials.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as vinyl rollers, laminators, plotters, and digital printers.
• Ensure signs are labeled with correct job numbers.
• Follow safety guidelines and report hazards to supervisor.
• Assist in troubleshooting and improving shop processes.
• Operate plotters using computer software and manage job travelers/blueprints as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and assist with shop cleanup, including trash and recycling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support other departments.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and maintaining equipment.

Essential Job Duties:Measure, cut, and laminate vinyl or other materials to specified sizes for sign faces.Perform vinyl application using both wet and dry techniques on various materials.Operate and maintain equipment such as vinyl rollers, laminators, plotters, and digital printers.Ensure signs are properly labeled with the correct job numbers.Follow safety guidelines and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.Report any accidents or safety hazards to the supervisor.Assist in troubleshooting and improving shop processes.Operate plotters using computer software and manage job travelers/blueprints as needed.Maintain regular attendance and assist with shop cleanup, including emptying trash and recycling bins.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support other departments as needed.Assist in managing inventory levels and maintaining equipment.Any other duties as required.Qualifications and Training:High School Diploma or GED is required.Previous experience operating hand tools and basic machinery is preferred.Fluent in English.Skills and Abilities:Ability to read and interpret a tape measure, scale ruler, and blueprints.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing ladders, and crawling on knees.Basic math skills, including working with fractions and calculating square footage.Knowledge of sign fabrication materials and processes is preferred.Willingness to learn and apply Lean Manufacturing concepts.Working Conditions:You will be required to wear safety glasses at all times and often cut resistant gloves.Work may involve repetitive motions and lifting up to 50 pounds.Physical tasks include bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, and crawling.The work environment may include exposure to temperature fluctuations, noise, and humidity.Hearing protection may be required in certain areas.The position may require standing or walking for extended periods of time.
