Job summary

Kerry is seeking a technical operations leader to monitor and optimize vinegar production on site in Alton, Illinois. You will troubleshoot equipment, lead process improvements, and train operators to raise efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities include safety leadership, compliance with Quality & Food Safety policies, SAP documentation support, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, sustainable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 3+ years of food or pharmaceutical industry experience in a technical support role preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supporting process optimization and troubleshooting activities.
• Ability to train and develop operators on technical processes.
• Ability to participate in risk assessments.
• Travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize vinegar production on site.
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, utilities, process control systems, and bacterial colony health.
• Lead and participate in process improvement projects to enhance production efficiency.
• Develop and deliver training programs to improve operator skills.
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues caused by contamination and equipment failures.
• Participate in risk assessments to improve engineering design and safety.
• Ensure compliance with Quality & Food Safety policies.
• Report failures to site management.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and enforce rules.
• Assist with SAP documentation and training.
• Support sampling and testing for production activities.
