Job summary

National Fruit Product Company, Inc. in Winchester, VA, is seeking a Vinegar Manufacturing Technician to support White Distilled and Apple Cider vinegar production on the 1st shift, with some weekends.

You will prepare vinegar mixes, operate pumps between tanks, perform on-line QA checks, complete quality reports and inventory paperwork, and help maintain safety and GMP compliance. Three to six-month related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have three to six months of related experience prior to appointment.
• Must pass GMP test.
• Must have safety training and be responsible for tank cleaning operations.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture White Distilled and Apple Cider Vinegar.
• Prepare W/D Vinegar mixes and pump A/C stock between tanks.
• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on equipment; on-line QA checks.
• Complete QA reports, product movement, inventory, and maintenance paperwork.

SHIFT INTENTION

1st Shift with some weekends

DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the manufacturing of White Distilled and Apple Cider Vinegar. Prepares W/D Vinegar mixes. Pumps A/C stock from field tanks to feed tanks for acetators. Pumps vinegar from acetators to field tanks. Repairs and does preventive maintenance on equipment. Distillates/titrates vinegar samples. Prepares vinegar mix reports. Must be familiar with all jobs within the Vinegar Generation and Pressing/ Filtering Department. Performs on-line Quality Assurance checks. Completes all paperwork to include Quality Assurance reports, product movement, inventory, maintenance requests, purchase orders,etc. Must have the safety training and responsible for tank cleaning operations. Must pass GMP test. Responsible for other assigned duties to include but not limited to housekeeping, safety, recovering damaged product, etc.
