Job summary

North Slope Borough seeks a skilled healthcare professional to deliver primary care in Village Health Clinics under the Community Health Aide Program. You will perform medical assessments, prescribe appropriate treatments, and coordinate care with supervising physicians.

The role requires willingness to travel to training centers and to villages, maintain patient records, and follow policies including HIPAA and OSHA. A career ladder path is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds regularly.
• Obtain EMT or ETT certification within probationary period.
• Obtain qualifications within six months to attend Session I training.
• Name-check criminal background investigation as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care in Village Health Clinics and urgent care within the village.
• Assess, document patient health, order tests, and develop care plans per eCHAM.
• Travel to villages within North Slope Borough as needed.
• Maintain clinic records, inventory, and reports; assist with confidentiality.
