Job summary

North Slope Borough operates Village Health Clinics delivering primary health care within the Community Health Aide Program. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients under the CHA framework, with ongoing training and travel to clinics across communities.

The incumbent will document care, follow safety protocols, maintain records, and assist with home wellness visits. Strong commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA is required, with readiness for field duties in remote areas.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide primary health care services.
• Knowledge of clinical care standards and patient safety.
• Ability to document patient information accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care (acute, chronic, preventative) to patients in village clinics.
• Document medical assessments, treatments, medicines, and procedures.
• Follow CHA/Practitioner guidelines and participate in training as required.
• Travel to training centers and village clinics as needed.
• Maintain clinic records and assist with home visits when required.
