Job summary

North Slope Borough seeks a Community Health Aide to deliver primary health care in Village Health Clinics and support emergency services within village boundaries. The role requires training, travel to multiple villages, and adherence to CHAM protocols.

The position is on an as-needed basis, with potential for a career ladder and on-call coverage to support after-hours and weekend emergencies as needed. Employment is contingent on licensure and certifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Department and Borough policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of professional healthcare protocols and CHAM.
• Knowledge of medical records management and patient file documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care services in village clinics (acute, chronic, preventive).
• Document medical assessments, treatments, and procedures in patient charts.
• Follow CHA/Training guidelines and attend required trainings.
• Travel to training centers and to village clinics as needed.
• Monitor patients and maintain clinic safety and supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff for ongoing care.
