Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is seeking an Evening Villa Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain guest villas and homes on the Kiawah Island Golf Resort program. The role supports safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems to meet the site's goals.

The stated pay is $24.00 per hour, with shifts primarily in the evening. Responsibilities include responding to guest maintenance requests, performing preventative maintenance, basic plumbing and electrical tasks,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older due to equipment used.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Work independently and in a team.
• Strong English communication, both verbal and written.
• Must pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Entry to mid-level maintenance tech with basic home maintenance skills.
• Directly deals with guest maintenance requests.
• Maintain the villas and homes on the Kiawah Island Golf Resort program.
• Handle repairs and work orders daily.
• Conduct ongoing maintenance programs.
• Perform preventative maintenance (e.g., replace bulbs/air filters).
• Drive in company vehicle to maintenance calls.
• Some tasks include minor plumbing, electrical work, and repairs.
• Uphold resort policies and values.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Villa Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. This role will primarily have shifts in the evening.Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay for this position is $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum Age – 18 years of age due to type of equipment used.
• Must possess a valid SC Driver’s license.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Must work both independently and in a team environment.
• Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Expectations & Responsibilities

• Entry to mid-level maintenance tech with basic home maintenance skills and experience.
• Directly deals with guest maintenance requests.
• Responsible for the overall upkeep and general maintenance of the privately owned Villas and Homes on the Kiawah Island Golf Resort program.
• Handles all repairs and work orders on a daily basis.
• Conducts on-going maintenance programs.
• Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled: such as replacing bulbs and air filters.
• Drives in company provided vehicle to maintenance calls.
• Some maintenance tasks include minor toilet and other plumbing repairs, changing out electrical switches, replacing vacuums, repairing torn screens, and diagnosing larger problems to ensure they go the correct specialized contractor.
• Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort.
• All other duties as assigned.

Essential Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
