Job description

Chef Andrew Carmellini and Chef Scott Cioe are seeking a BAKE/Pastry Cook to join the team at LAFAYETTE Grand Café and Bakery in NoHo.

LAFAYETTE is an everyday grand café and bakery celebrating French cooking at the corner of Lafayette Street and Great Jones Street in downtown Manhattan. Our market-driven bistro menu is a worldly homage to the genre, spanning regions from Provence to Normandy to neighboring Mediterranean coasts, offering a mastery of traditional dishes and signature creations.

Ideal Candidates:
  1. Prior experience working with viennoiserie/laminated products
  2. Prior experience in pastry production
  3. Experience in baking, including mixing, shaping, and baking dough
  4. Passion for baking and a strong work ethic
  5. Ability to ensure quality and accuracy
  6. Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
